Profile
KAO i Sheng's Bliss Ink Exhibition

Exhibition Introduction:
Silently staring Kao i Sheng's art works, we can always feel the stagnant state of mind; not about good or bad. The painting with artist's unique light-style on the main subject is surrounded by heavy black space; it is not so much a space, it is better known as black screen - which no longer leisurely move, but the storm that narrowly limited remaining in their gloom. Stick figures with glassy eyes looking to the front, the limb may seem slightly off the ground and action, but never seem to move forward; or, we should say, they never knew he (they) has a path. Black screen, the lost direction, so he (they) stall to fall, so he (they) let fly covered the body. "Olfactory food feast" series of paintings shows that people blindly follow the lead of urine signals onto the unknown black fog. The artist's large black space on the painting is to show the living environment: None thought, stagnation, constraints, and which one might be dissatisfied with the status quo, but also have to swallow that filthy nutrients and survive, because we can not refuse.
Crumbling absurd scene, devoid of soul and skins, all presented through Kao i-Sheng's absolutely wonderful pen. That beautiful translucent gold excrement, who are not used to dig the artist died of black humor? In the surreal picture space, illogical umbrella bearing, and just like a paper doll being headed, but realistic white cock, turn the viewer back to reality. Sometimes too straightforward picture perhaps lacks the imagination of painting representation, but being as human, the frustration and emotion which are stored in artist's mind, are faintly concealed respite in our ambiguous space looming. Bliss, in addition to the individual in the world that life just like floating helpless outside, is not that are like a dream?

Come from? Will we be going? So really no way to ask those great questions, and no answer; however, "Bliss" Atlas created by Kao i-Sheng may let the audience see the other side of which is a human.
