併設するモンキーカフェで、ハンドドリップで一杯ずつ丁寧に淹れたスペシャリティコーヒーを味わいながら、ゆったり現代アートを感じてください。 Monkey Gallery is located in THE SOHO CORNER D.K.Y, a dodecagonal building in the greenery facing Sarugaku Ancient Residence Park in Daikanyama, Tokyo. It holds exhibitions and art events, and sales of various contemporary artworks.

作家橋本絵里奈は鮮やかな色の絵具を身体感覚に基づいて塗り重ね、抽象的に作品制作をする。
作家自身が自身の潜在的な意識を画面にあわせ時間を超えていくような独自の表現で世界観を作り上げている。観覧者により多くの過去や未来、そして今を想起させてくれる作品です。 Gallery MOS was established in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, in 1988. As the mission of Gallery MOS, in a city associated with Japanese art, we hope to help viewers encounter "works of art that enrich the heart and fulfilling life" with their sensibilities in this modern society where we are losing our obsession with things due to busy lives. We mainly introduce works with motifs of animals, plants, nature, and people, sometimes giving us a warm, peaceful feeling and vitality. We introduce young, talented, and promising artists who are active throughout Japan in solo and group exhibitions.
In recent years, in addition to exhibitions in Matsusaka, we have held special exhibitions in department stores (Nagoya, Tokyo, Osaka), participated in art fairs (ART OSAKA2022 Expanded, KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa 2022, ART FAIR TOKYO 2023), and organized an art festival in Matsusaka (Matsusaka Culture Street) .【See website for details】.
"Erina Hashimoto" creates abstractly by layering brightly colored paints based on her physical senses.
She creates her world view with a unique expression that transcends time by combining her subconscious with her paintings. Her works evoke the past, the future, and the present for the viewer.

「“Let there be light.” (光あれ) 」この聖書の一節は、長い間私の頭から離れなかった。そして、純金箔を使い、“光”を表現する作品の制作を開始した。
キャンバスに何色もの色をのばし、叩き、削りとり、また同じ作業を繰り返し、色を仕上げていく。純金箔を貼るには、一般的な美術とは異なり、長い時間忍耐力が必要とされるが、この「“Let there be light.” (光あれ) 」という一節と共に、作品に想いを込めて創作している。 SEO Sook-Yang, Lydia SEO

“Let there be light.” This bible verse didn't get out of my head for long time and
I started to express the “light.”
Pure gold foil work is good way to show the light, and it makes me know about life patience.
Spreading, percussing, scraping several colors on canvas and again doing this work raises it to one color.And attaching pure gold foil needs long time of patience which is different to general fine arts.But in these period I retreat about the verse that God gave me.“Be the light of the world.”
I was deeply moved by the verse "Let there be light."so I express the light by pure gold foil. I use several colors by spreading, precussing, scraping and raise it in to one color, and make up a story of life.

The gallery holds occasional special exhibitions by young artists, mainly solo exhibitions, as well as exhibitions of the gallery's collection by modern and contemporary artists. The owner majored in psychology at university. After graduation, he worked for a purchasing business. He has handled a wide range of items, including precious metals, jewelry, brand items, watches, old coins, stamps, swords, fine art, and antiques, and collectors enjoy talking with him about various topics, not limited to art. We are constantly researching what art will be preserved for the next generation and what kind of art will appear from a different perspective from a gallery that only deals with art. As a gallery in Yokohama, we are committed to discovering and nurturing artists, including local artists, who will create new values and styles of expression.
