「紀陽銀行 presents UNKNOWN ASIA 2025」は、12月5日（金）のVIPプレビューを皮切りに、6日（土）・7日（日）の2日間を含む3日間の開催を経て、盛況のうちに閉幕いたしました。

会場となった梅田サウスホールには今年も自然光が差し込み、国内外から集まった多彩な作品と来場者の熱気が交わり、活気あふれるクリエイティブ空間が広がりました。

本年は、日本、インドネシア、マレーシア、台湾、タイ、韓国、インド、フィリピン、アメリカなど、9か国から100組以上のアーティストやギャラリーが参加し、ジャンルを越えた表現が会場を鮮やかに彩りました。例年ご支援いただいている協賛企業、審査員、レビュアーの皆さまに加え、新たな参加者も迎えたことで、より多様な視点と価値観が交差する国際的なアートフェアへと発展いたしました。

今年は公開収録や受賞アーティストによるトークセッションを新たに実施し、多くの来場者がクリエイターの思想や創作背景に触れる貴重な機会となりました。特に、大阪ならではの文化的土壌を踏まえたセッションでは、大阪のアート＆クリエイティブの現在・過去・未来が語られ、アジア文化の玄関口として栄えた歴史や、上方文化・商人文化が育んだ“個性を肯定する気風”が、アーティストの挑戦を自然に後押しする街の特性として改めて浮かび上がりました。

「人と違うことに価値が生まれる」というアーティストにとって重要な精神が、この都市の文化と響き合い、UNKNOWN ASIA独自の空気感を形成していることを強く感じさせるセッションとなりました。

これらの取り組みを通じて、UNKNOWN ASIAに関わる関係人口は一層広がり、アーティストとの対話や知識共有が自然に生まれる環境が醸成され、本イベントの魅力と独自性がさらに深まったと実感しております。

期間中は、出展アーティスト・ギャラリーと審査員、レビュアー、協賛企業の皆さまとの間で活発な交流が行われ、新たなプロジェクトやコラボレーションが芽生える場面も多く見られました。また、アジア地域の音楽を取り入れた空間演出や、コーヒー、焼菓子の提供など、多面的にアートを楽しめる環境づくりにも取り組み、会場には終日にわたり、穏やかな一体感と心地よい活気が漂っていました。

UNKNOWN ASIAは、アートとクリエイティブを通じて新たな出会いと感動を創出するプラットフォームとして、今後も挑戦と進化を続けてまいります。本年生まれたインスピレーションとつながりを力に変え、アジアのクリエイティブシーンをさらに豊かにする活動を展開していきたいと考えております。

“Kiyo Bank presents UNKNOWN ASIA 2025” kicked off with a VIP Preview on Friday, December 5, followed by two full days on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, and concluded successfully amidst great enthusiasm.

At the venue, Umeda South Hall, natural light filled the space once again this year, creating a vibrant creative environment where diverse works from domestic and international artists intersected with the energy of visitors.

This year, more than 100 artists and galleries from nine countries—including Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, India, the Philippines, and the United States—participated, showcasing a wide range of expressions across genres that vividly colored the exhibition space. With the continued support of our sponsoring companies, judges, and reviewers, along with new participants, the fair evolved into an international art platform where diverse perspectives and values intersected.

For the first time this year, we held public recordings and talk sessions with award-winning artists, providing many visitors with valuable opportunities to engage with creators’ thoughts and creative processes. In particular, sessions reflecting Osaka’s unique cultural background highlighted the city’s role as a gateway to Asian culture, as well as the “spirit of embracing individuality” nurtured by traditional Kamigata and merchant culture—characteristics that naturally support artists’ challenges.

These sessions strongly conveyed how the artist’s principle that “value is born from being different” resonates with the city’s culture, forming the distinctive atmosphere unique to UNKNOWN ASIA.

Through these initiatives, the network of people involved with UNKNOWN ASIA has expanded, fostering an environment where dialogue and knowledge exchange with artists occur naturally, further enhancing the event’s appeal and uniqueness.

During the event, active interactions took place among participating artists, galleries, judges, reviewers, and sponsoring companies, leading to the emergence of new projects and collaborations. Additionally, we enhanced the environment for enjoying art from multiple perspectives, incorporating Asian music into the venue’s atmosphere and offering coffee and baked goods, creating a warm, cohesive, and vibrant atmosphere throughout the days.

UNKNOWN ASIA continues to serve as a platform for generating new encounters and inspirations through art and creativity, and we will keep pursuing challenges and evolution. Inspired by the connections and ideas generated this year, we aim to further enrich the creative scene across Asia.
