Swanty Kumala – 04/07/1988
I describe myself as Printmaker and Abstractionist, based in Surabaya, Indonesia. I spent my time mostly living and studying in Sydney, Australia. During this period, I explored my interest in ART and most of my work was inspired through the “Unseen” form of work through; line, shape and movement. However, recently I became attracted to Deconstructivism. In addition, I love to explore mark making, by using; colour or shapes configurations that create transformation through my Art practice in greater detail. Therefore, I am very selective in my subject matter where I am trying to focus on developing my own visual vocabulary and inimitable style of work.
In all of the work that I present, I try to capture the “Unseen” visual that others do not pick up and analyse that particular object or subject matter from a whole different perspective or point of view.
