Born 29 May 1995, in Pathum Thani, raised in Bangkok. ‘Napatsakorn Nikornsaen’ holds an alias as ‘Anxiety Storage’, which best describes her as a person and artist. “Fear protects her from what she can see but I protect her from what she CANNOT see”, said Anxiety, an emotion in her mind, smiling widely and awkwardly. Nonetheless, everyone’s Anxiety comes in different forms, at a different age, and from different causes. Nikornsaen, the ‘Anxiety Storage’, compares Anxiety to the feeling of the urge to ‘go home’. Yet her ‘home’ is nowhere to be found.

Nikornsaen would like to express and communicate her art to people who have mistakes in life and put an amount of pressure on their souls themselves, lovers, parents, society, or even someone in the artificial world called social media, which is everyone. ‘Self-acceptance’ is a key message from her to our under-pressure souls.

略歴・受賞Career / Prize

Nikornsaen’s intention for her objects that leads to their failures offers these objects new possibilities for their purposes. Whether as a joke or as an artwork, the objects already evoke sentiments and conversation in their viewers. While everyday objects have withstood centuries of trials and errors to become the best version that suits our needs, humans only have one life to experiment. And while objects often have limited function, we, as humans, still ponder over the purposes of our lives. Nikornsaen personifies objects in a society that objectifies people and leaves us to ponder upon the input and output that forge us into the person we are today.
