1973年大阪府生まれ、オーストラリアの管楽器ディジュリドゥの奏者として活動していた2009年追突事故に遭い外傷性脳損傷による高次脳機能障害」と診断され、過去10年ほどの記憶の多くを失い新しいことも覚えずらくなる記憶障害を患い活動を休止。2010年事故後間もなく突然描き始めた点描画が評判となり、全国各地で展覧会を開催。2011年には再起不能と言われた音楽活動も苦難を乗り越え再開。GOMAの復帰を描いた映画「フラッシュバックメモリーズ３D」が第25回東京国際映画祭にて観客賞、韓国全州映画祭で最優秀アジア映画賞を受賞。また事故後のGOMAの活動を取り上げたTV番組「旅のチカラ(NHK)」「ハートネットTVブレイクスルー(Eテレ)」など様々なTV番組にも出演。現在は音楽活動のみならず絵画展、講演会と多岐に渡り活動中 GOMA is a player of the wind instrument didgeridoo of the Australian aborigine and is a painter.
He wins Northern Land Council prize in Barunga didgeridoo competition held in Australia Arnhem Land in 1998 and achieves the first receiving a prize as a non-aborigine player.
He encounters a traffic accident in 2009, and traumatic cerebral damage is diagnosed, and a symptom of the highly advanced brain functional disorder stops activity.
He begins to draw a minute sketch image after an accident suddenly soon.
The private exhibition "memory" of the beginning of 2010 was taken up in TV and a newspaper and attracted social interest.
