書家。
6歳より書家・祥洲氏に師事し、古典の書法から現代的な表現まで幅広く書を学んでいる。
文字に対して持つ自身の心象を、墨のマチエールや滲みを通して表現している。
作品は文字としての可読性を残すものもあれば、制作の過程で可読性に多様な段階が生まれ、時には文字という枠組み自体を外し、墨そのものが紙の上に生む滲み・重なり・偶然性に直接向き合うこともある。
文字としての可読性を残す表現から、文字を離れた完全な抽象表現に至るまで、その幅を行き来しながら墨や書表現における可能性の探求を続けている。
Eri Koyama (Calligrapher) has studied calligraphy under master calligrapher Shōshū since the age of six, learning a wide range of expression from classical technique to contemporary form.
Her work gives shape to her own inner responses to characters, expressed through the texture and bleeding of sumi ink.
In some pieces, the legibility of characters is retained, while in others, the process of creation gives rise to varying degrees of legibility; at times, she sets aside the framework of the character altogether, engaging directly with the bleeding, layering, and chance effects that ink itself produces on paper.
She continues to explore the possibilities of ink and calligraphic expression across this full range. - 略歴・受賞Career / Prize
