- Shikhambri is the passionate founder behind TANBAN an Indian hand block print shop dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional craft of Indian block printing. Through TANBAN she directly supports the families of Indian block printers and block carvers ensuring their skills and livelihoods are sustained. For the past two years Shikhambri has been conducting hand block printing workshops in Japan sharing this unique and intricate art form with a wider audience. Her workshops aim to educate and inspire appreciation for the heritage craft bridging cultures through creativity. In 2025 TANBAN expanded its vision by launching its own line of original products. She draws her own designs that are carved on the wood and then printed on fabric. These creations are designed with sustainability at their core fostering a model that benefits both the artisans and the buyers. By doing so TANBAN not only preserves this rich cultural tradition but also elevates it allowing the heritage craft
