- Born in New Zealand in 1986, I studied abroad in Tokyo in 2007. I began to formally study kimono in 2015 when I realized my passion for kimono and the joy it brings others. In 2016, I challenged myself to wear kimono as much as possible which over time, developed into my own modern original style while preserving the kimono’s traditional shape.
